LEGENDS OF AUDIO VISUAL MIXING

Coldcut first came together in the autumn of 1986.

In 1987 they released their influential remix of Eric B. & Rakim's "Paid in Full," which made the top 20 and was voted best remix of the year. Their first major hit as Coldcut was the top 10 hit "Doctorin' The House" in 1988, featuring singer Yazz. In the same year, under the guise "Yazz featuring The Plastic Population", they released "The Only Way Is Up".

Coldcut is comprised of multi-talented workaholics Matt Black and Jonathan More. Cutting, patching, blending, scratching, there is no matching the silky, funky techniques of these scientists of sound who are recognized as prime movers in abstract instrumental flavored genres.

In the 90s they started their own lable called Ninja Tunes, which made it as the nr1 lable for the times very influential Acid Jazz, TripHop, Drum&Bass BreakBeats and more.. with such artist as DJ Food, DJ Vadim, The Herbaliser etc.

In the 2000s Coldcut reinvented themselves as audio-visual djs, giving the World AMAZING video dj shows, and have toured all over the world as the best of the best in this genre.

In 2006 they have played at most festival in Europe, clubs all over the World, and toured in USA. They also had a super hit this year called "True School" that made it to the charts all over the place, and played full time at MTV and radio stations.

Coldcut has always been ahead of their time, and currently their fusion of the VJ and DJ is shown around the World, from huge festivals to clubs. They have always pioneered the audio visual DJ world!

In their current shows VirtualDJ plays a large part, where its controlled with turntables and cd decks (with timecode) and midi pads, to trigger and scratch video and audio samples in amazing creative ways.

They truely take the software to the limits!

DENNIS FERRER
WORLD CLASS DJ & REMIXER

Dennis Ferrer can only be described as the face of hope for a new generation of soulful house producers. A real artist with an aptitude for songwriting and new production concepts, Ferrer is undoubtedly at the top of his game.

Known first and foremast as having the Midas touch with remixing, Ferrer has reworked and defined classics for everyone from Blaze to Martin Solveig to Reel People. His more recent shaping of Fish Go Deep's "Cure And The Cause" will, without a doubt, be a permanent fixture on the house scene for years to come.

Ferrer is best know for his signature Afro-house and gospel sounds, and made a name for himself as the go-to person for a particular kind of lush, heavily percussive record.

In 2003 he co-produced "Sandcastles" which is one of the biggest crossover dance records of the past five years. Already placed within the pantheon of dance classics, "Sandcastles" represents the sound of an evolving genre melding deep house, techno and Afro rhythms and has become the cornerstone of DJ sets across all genres from Jeff Mills to Timmy Regisford to Deep Dish.

2005 has quite possibly been Ferrer's most successful year to date. He was nominated in no less than three categories of this year's UK House Music Awards for Track Of The Year, Remix Of The Year and Breakthrough Producer.

Ferrer's DJ career continues to run in tangent with his increased visibility as a producer and his creative reach covers five continents.

He is truely one of the leading producers and djs on the house scene.

After playing the 2008 Grammy’s  Annalyze has proved herself as one of the leading ladies of Hiphop, Party Rock & Turntablism. She has played all over the world, alongside DJs such as Q-Bert, A-trak, Craze, X-ecutioners, & Klever to name a few.20.

Annalyze & Shortee formed the first female 2x4 scratch duo called "Twice As Nice". Annalyze is featured alongside Shortee in DJ documentaries, "Girl" & "Vinyl is a Girls Best Friend" & she also has a cameo in "Shortee's DJ 202" instructional DVD. Annalyze has recently stepped into the studio & is working on her own production.

Annalyze also holds a residency in Shanghai China at the infamous Club Bon Bon. Her stellar scratching & mixing style have earned her national sponsorships with companies like Pioneer & Stanton. Regularly rocking the club and party scene, crowds are not only mesmerized by Annalyze's scratching & turntable trickery, but by her energetic stage presence which creates a vibe that keeps the dancefloor moving all night long.

Lately she has been Focusing more on hip hop and party rockin / mashup style. Always pushing to the next level and always on top of her game.

DJ Jam, has been working in the music scene for over two decades getting his start in his hometown San Diego where he had a strong reputation for rocking parties, clubs and some of the hottest mix tapes.

JAM moved to Carson where he worked as a DJ at popular night clubs in Los Angels. That's where he caught the attention of The Legendary DR. DRE and became THE OFFICIAL DJ for SNOOP DOGG and DRE on the IMFAMOUS DEATH ROW RECORDS.

Jam has also Djed for Tha Dogg Pund, 213, Warren G, Tha Eastsidaz & Doggy's Angels. He was behind the worldwide syndicated "SNOOP DOGG RADIO SHOW" and has worked as DJ/MIX SHOW DIRECTOR on "92.3 THE BEAT", "POWER 106", and "100.3 THE BEAT" LOS ANGELES'S HIP HOP and R&B RADIO STATIONS as well as SUPERADIO SYNDICATED NETWORK nationwide.

JAM has a few MIX CD/DVD titles you should definitely have in your collection. Look out for his stuff!

MUGGS
SOUL ASSASINS / CYPRESS HILL
Mash-Up Radio

DJ Muggs (or simply Muggs), is Cypress Hill's DJ and producer. DJ Muggs was first a member of the group 7A3, a group he did not produce, but only DJ for. 7A3 managed to release an album and several singles before being dropped by their record label and disbanding.

Cypress Hill, the group then formed by DJ Muggs with B-Real and Sen Dog, became one of the most popular and influential hip hop groups of the 20th century.

DJ Muggs also works as a producer and DJ for other artists such as House of Pain (song "Jump Around" and many others on the group's debut album), Tricky (album "Juxtapose"), Funkdoobiest (song "Bow Wow Wow" and many others), Ice Cube, KRS-One, Eminem, Everlast and MC Eiht.

In 2003, he released his solo album Dust, which somehow departed from the usual hip-hop formula, has a trip-hop/rock sound and features artists such as Greg Dulli, Amy Trujillo and Everlast on vocals.

DJ Muggs and Cypress Hill are part of an even bigger collective of musicians, graphic and other artists, the Soul Assassins, who have so far released 2 compilation albums.

Today, DJ Muggs has his own Sirius satellite radio show on Shade 45 dubbed "Mash-Up Radio", a show where he and other DJs play their rap/rock blends.

In 2005, he has founded the record label Angeles Records together with Self Scientific. One of the first releases on the label was DJ Muggs' collaboration album with GZA/The Genius of Wu-Tang Clan called The Grandmasters. In 2007, a remix version of the album was released. A new collaborative album, this time featuring Sick Jacken (and Cynic) of Psycho Realm/Sick Symphonies, is currently in the works and to be released in mid to late 2007.
